Class Fees

Please be our guest on the first day you visit Spacious Mind Center.

You can attend any of the following classes for free on your first day.  

• Mesa Class
• Bridges Class

The prices for Sunday classes are as follows:

Suggested monthly membership donation per month:                          $30 (non-refundable)

• Spacious Observation (meditation & guidance)    9 - 9:50a.m.
• Mesa Class (Introductory)                                 10 -12:00p.m.
• Or Leaping Fish Class (Advanced)                    10 -12:00p.m.

All Day Class Fees:                                                                                $25                   $40

This includes:

• Spacious Observation (meditation & guidance)    9 - 9:50a.m.         
• Mesa Class (Introductory)                                 10 -12:00p.m.
• Or Leaping Fish Class (Advanced)                    10 -12:00p.m.      
• And Bridges Class*                                        1:30 - 3:30p.m.   

*Bridges is open too all students but is recommended for those students who already have some background in Buddhist philosophy.

Special Rates:

1. Students with valid student ID:                                                          $20a.m.            $25 all day *member class fee rate - monthly membership donation waived

2. Households with dependent children:

• The first member pays the monthly membership donation and member class fee rates.
• Second household member would pay 80% of member class rates and no membership donation.
• Dependent children in the household 13 years and older pay 50% of member's class rates and no membership donation.
• Dependent children 12 years or younger are free.

Payment for Classes

We will accept cash, personal check or money order.

1.  Payment can be made in person.                                    

2.  Payments can also be mailed to the center's office mailing address: 412 W. Lemon Ave.,  Monrovia, CA. 91016. Please be sure that the office receives your payment at least one week in advance of the class or classes you wish to take. Please be sure to write in your check's memo line what class or classes your are paying for.

Membership donations and Class Fees:

• Members can renew their monthly Membership donation on the first Sunday of the new month. It can be paid in person or mailed to the center's office mailing address shown above.

• Spacious Mind Learning and Retreat Center is a non-profit 501 (c)3 religious corporation. All membership donations, class, workshop and retreat fees paid to Spacious Mind Learning and Retreat Center are tax-deductible.   

• *Important:  Both our Board of Directors and our teachers have made a commitment to ensure the availability of these teachings to any interested student regardless of his or her financial situation. Both our adjusted fee and work study programs are designed to assist anyone (or any family) in meeting their class fees. If you have any financial concerns, please make an appointment with Gordon Gibb, the center's board president to talk confidentially over your present situation.

Appointments are available during the Noon - 1:30p.m. lunch break on Sundays. No income disclosure is necessary, only a willingness to assume responsibility in some manner (adjusted fees or work study) for the ongoing support of Spacious Mind Center and its teachers.
